David Casalod
CEO

David Casalod is involved with Status Plus Conferences since the beginning in 1992. He worked for Status Plus during his secondary school and later freelance. He has a lot of experience in the field of conferences and meetings (+15 years). After his Bachelor study International Business and Languages, David worked for a prominent Dutch internet company, initiator in the field of on-line hotel bookings. He developed a lot of projects independently and learned a lot about e-commerce.

In 2001 David founded Casalod Internet Services. He developed various internet applications for the travel and conference industry. The growth of Casalod Internet Services and the good relation with Status Plus Conferences resulted in merging the two companies into one company in 2004, after which Robert Kessler and David Casalod lead the company as managing partners. In 2006 Robert Kessler became seriously ill and unfortunately his disease lead to his death in November 2008. Because of the illness of Robert Kessler, David Casalod is the manager of Status Plus Conferences since the beginning of 2008.

Vivian Gies
Sr. Conference Manager

For my Bachelor study “Facility Management” I had to do two internships. During the first internship I worked as a manager of the housekeeping department in a hospital. For my second internship I was looking for a job in which I could use all my skills and especially my organizational skills. I contacted Status Plus as a friend of mine was very enthusiastic about Status Plus. In 2005 I started working as a conference manager for Status Plus, as I really enjoyed the work I staid after I graduated. I have organized many meetings in The Netherlands and in the rest of the world. Besides the organization of the meetings I am involved in association management of (inter)national societies. Every meeting is unique and that is why I still love the challenge of organizing meetings. I also enjoy the contact with my colleagues and clients from all over the world.

Tessa Kaaijk
Conference Manager

After I graduated with a bachelors degree in Marketing and Sales in 2003, I have had several jobs in restaurants and hotels. In 2008 I decided to look for a new challenge and I started working for Status Plus B.V. Since September 2008 I assisted at more than 20 (inter)national meetings organized by Status Plus. In July 2009 I started focusing more on working in Association Management for the International Society for Sexual Medicine. I provide support to the leadership and committees, and also take care of the daily communication. I participate in sales and marketing activities and assist in developing and implementing business plans. Status Plus offers me the opportunity to work flexible, independent and develop myself professionally. Also the good and close contact with my colleagues and clients, makes me really enjoy my work at Status Plus.

Daphne Kaaijk
Conference Manager

From 2003 until 2008 I worked freelance for Status Plus. During this period I offered onsite support at a lot of different (inter)national conferences, including several meetings of the Dutch Society for Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the biennial meetings of the International Society of Sexual Medicine in Argentina (2004) and Egypt (2006). I really enjoyed working for Status Plus and was very interested in learning more about conference management, which resulted in working full-time for Status Plus in 2008.

As from 2008 I have organized meetings individually or together with my colleagues. I get a lot of energy out of meeting and working with different persons. Also being able to use my creativity at work is very important for me. I love to work for Status Plus and I am looking forward to all the meetings that we will organize in the future.

We have a network of colleagues, who we can contact if we want to make use of their expertise and help. The 2 persons with whom we work on a very regular basis are Pim Sitter and Susan Sitter-Hora Siccama:

Susan has been working on a lot of meetings for Status Plus, she handels the onsite registrations and she is our cashier. Pim is working for Status Plus for many years as well. He handles the (set-up) of the exhibition and other logistics during the meetings.
