The company was initiated in 1992 by two partners, Ramon Casalod and Robert von Kessler. Both had a very broad experience (30 + year) in the travel and conference branch. Because of the unexpected death of Ramon Casalod in 1994, Robert von Kessler became the director of the company. In 1994 Robert Kessler welcomed David Casalod as a managing partner. Since the beginning of 2008 David Casalod has the leadership of Status Plus Conferences, because of the illness of Robert Kessler. Unfortunately on the 24th of November 2008 Robert Kessler has passed away.
José Ramon Casalod

After José Ramon Casalod worked at the Spanish Consulate and Travelbus Schinkel, he started working at Melia Travel, where he built up a very good collegiate relation and friendship with Robert Kessler.
At the moment Melia Travel had financial difficulties in 1992, Robert and Ramon decided to start Status Travel & Tours as an incoming tour operator. Unfortunately José Ramon Casalod in 1994 passed away after which Robert Kessler continued Status Plus Travel & Tours as independent manager.
Robert Kessler

From the secondary school Robert Kessler became active in the world of travel and conferences, which resulted in the organization of events in the Netherlands but also in foreign countries. Robert Kessler financed his law study by working in the travel and conference business as guide, tour- and account manager. After he graduated his law study he worked as a legal adviser. But the tourism and conference organization seemed to remain irresistible for Robert Kessler.
Robert Kessler worked a lot of years in the Dutch management of the international touroperator 'Melia International' (sales- and executive director) and in hotels (director sales & marketing).
In 1990, he started as a pioneer the Rotterdam Conference Desk (managing director), a marketing and promotional organization which recruited International conferences for the city.
In 1992, he became a business partner with José Ramon Casalod. Together they initiated Status Travel & Tours, now better known as Status Plus Conferences.
